F-111 & EF-111

There have been few aircraft as controversial at the F-111. Born of an Air Force and Navy effort to create a multi-role fighter, an early Vietnam introduction that saw many problems and used in actions such as those against Libya. However, the F-111 was a very successful aircraft, its performance was extraordinary, and its eventual service live exemplary. Its last incarnation was as the EF-111A Raven, an Electronic Warfare version that due to its performance could uniquely provide cover for the fastest jets in service. AMARC has hundreds of old F-111s and EF-111s.

As can be seen from the photos, there are many Ravens at AMARC. Six were being processed while we visited.
